It doesn't make sense to choose a school that offers training in the technical aspects of animation if you are interested in creating the characters.

Perhaps you do not feel you need to research animation schools because you feel you have enough talent without going to school. Animation schools are no different—obtaining a degree in your selected area of interest gives you a better opportunity to obtain a higher paying job.
